Welcome to Afternoon Tea at Dylan's! Upon arrival you will be greeted by your house guide and enjoy a fascinating talk about Dylan Thomas, the history and renovation of the Birthplace, and his work including the pieces he wrote in the house. There will be opportunities to ask questions and delve deep into any aspect of Dylan or the Birthplace that interests you. No prior Dylan knowledge required!
After the Introduction to Dylan Talk you will be given a visit sheet & map of the Birthplace. Uncover the rooms where Dylan Thomas lived and wrote. In each room you will find further information on the family, the house and Dylan’s incredible work. You are free to explore the Birthplace in your own time.
After exploring the Birthplace you will return to the Parlour to indulge in a slice of one of the finest British traditions and take the signature Afternoon Tea at Dylan’s. Enjoy a family-style afternoon tea whilst listening to some of Dylan’s work. Typical teas include beautifully baked scones with cream and jam, a selection of sandwiches, plus maybe some pastries or a naughty cake. All served with Welsh Brew Tea in a set of antique Edwardian china.
